Purpose: The Membership/Advertising Sales Representative generates revenue by selling memberships to prospective non-member businesses by communicating the benefits, resources and services of the Chamber.  Provides detailed information on various programs and orients the client to the Chamber's advertising vehicles including the Chamber magazine, printed directory, city maps and web site advertising components.

Essential Functions and Objectives:
  • Exhibits strong and effective lead generation/sales skills, and provides excellent customer service to potential, new and existing Chamber members
  • Contacts, acquires and sells prospects new membership to the Chamber
  • Sell advertising in the Chamber Business Magazine and other Chamber products and services
  • Achieve budgeted revenue goals
  • Generates cold calls by actively seeking new businesses and following up appropriately.
  • Maintains knowledge of goals, objectives, features and services of membership
  • Stays informed about Chamber member benefits, events and functions.
  • Assists member clients to make full use of Chamber benefits and programs.
  • Actively supports and participates in Chamber functions.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Sales experience service skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Self - starter with a professional demeanor and presentation of self with an outgoing personality.
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be a team player
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Ability to work with computers.
  • Must be able to lift 25lbs.

Compensation Monthly:
Base Salary + Commission + Bonus, compensatory with experience and results
